# Set-Alias

> A PowerShell command to set or modify alias.
> Note: `sal` can be used as an alias for `Set-Alias`.

- Create or reassign new alias:

`Set-Alias -Name {{text}} -Value {{command}}`

- Add a description to alias:

`Set-Alias -Name {{text}} -Value {{command}} -Description "{{description}}"`
